Automated source review

Last updated

Not a person. An automated pass that re-derives every numeric claim against the primary source cited for it, checks arithmetic against the tax engine's golden tests, and flags assertions with no source or with a source that has changed since it was read. It cannot exercise professional judgement, cannot be liable, and does not sign anything. Pages that assert a specific tax treatment carry a visible notice saying exactly this.

Credentials

No tax credential. Automated source review is not an Enrolled Agent, CPA or attorney, does not prepare returns, and cannot represent you before the IRS. Everything published here is sourced to primary IRS material so you can check it yourself — see Methodology — but sourcing is not the same as professional advice on your own situation.
