Privacy
Your income never reaches our servers. That is a design decision, not a promise.
The important part first
Calculator inputs never leave your browser. Your income, filing status, state and every other figure you type is computed on your own device. The result is stored in the page URL, not on a server. We do not receive it, cannot log it, and could not disclose it under any circumstance — including a legal demand — because we never had it.
If you share a result link, the numbers travel in that URL. That is worth knowing before you paste one into a group chat.
Who is responsible
Quarterly Desk is operated by Adrian Vance, based in Brazil. For GDPR purposes that makes us the data controller; for LGPD, the controlador. Contact: hello@quarterlydesk.com.
What we actually collect
- Anonymous usage measurement
- Which pages are viewed, whether a calculator was completed, and page speed timings. No cookie, no IP stored, no identifier, nothing that links two visits to the same person. This runs without consent because there is nothing in it that identifies you.
- Email, only if you give it
- If you save a result or ask for deadline reminders. Double opt-in, and an unsubscribe link in every message. Lawful basis: consent. Kept until you unsubscribe.
- Rate survey responses
- If you take the rate benchmark survey. Anonymous by design: no email, no IP, and results are published only once a segment has enough responses that nobody is identifiable within it.
- Advertising, once ads are live
- Google AdSense may set cookies. In the EEA and UK this happens only after you consent through the banner. Consent is denied by default until you choose otherwise.

Your rights
Under GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and LGPD you can request access to what we hold, correction, deletion, a portable copy, and you can object to processing. Under CCPA you may opt out of "sale" or "sharing" — we do neither, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals regardless.
Email hello@quarterlydesk.com. We respond within 30 days. In most cases the honest answer will be that we hold nothing of yours beyond an email address you gave us.
Cookies
None of our own for tracking. Once advertising is live, Google may set cookies subject to your consent choice. Analytics is cookieless.
Children
Not directed at anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
Material changes are dated at the top of this page. If a change affects how we handle something you already gave us, subscribers are told by email rather than left to notice.
